The Surrey Research Park is easily accessible by road and rail and is a short distance from both Heathrow and Gatwick airports.

By road

From London on A3 and M25 (J10) (travelling south)

  1. Exit the A3 where sign posted to The University of Surrey, The Cathedral, The Hospital and The Research Park (do not take earlier exits signed to Guildford).
  2. Take the third exit off the Cathedral roundabout. Drive through the underpass, below A3.
  3. Go straight across the next two roundabouts, the second of which will bring you onto Gill Avenue (Hospital on your right).
  4. At the top of Gill Avenue you come onto The Surrey Research Park.

From Portsmouth on A3 (travelling North)

  1. Exit A3 where sign posted to The University of Surrey, The Cathedral, The Hospital and The Research Park.
  2. Take the second exit off the roundabout at the end of slip road.
  3. Go straight across the next roundabout which will bring you onto Gill Avenue (Hospital on your right).
  4. At the top of Gill Avenue you come onto The Surrey Research Park

How to find the Surrey Research Park Estate Office

  1. At the roundabout at the top of Gill Avenue take the 3rd exit into Occam Road.
  2. Park just before the 2nd road on left (Frederick Sanger Road) or in visitors’ spaces in Frederick Sanger Road..
  3. Our office is the 3rd door on right in Frederick Sanger Road, signed ‘Research Park Office Enquiries’.

By Rail

Guildford is on the London Waterloo to Portsmouth Harbour line, which has an excellent service.

There are four fast trains per hour to and from London Waterloo – links to journey planners are below for your information:

Once at Guildford Station, take either a taxi – these are usually parked outside the front entrance – or use the bus service. Some travel to the Park itself, others to the Hospital, from where it is a short walk to the Park.

From Heathrow Airport

    From Gatwick Airport

There are two trains each hour from Gatwick Airport to Guildford. You may need to change at Clapham Junction although there is a direct service which takes only 40 minutes.
